Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

It’s been a busy week as I’ve been traveling for business and attending meeting during all hours of the day and evening. Even though I tried to pare down my travel makeup kit, I didn’t succeed (you can see the results of my failure here). I did, however, make a few good choices of makeup products to take. One of those good choices was the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. I’ve been using this product for about a month and have been very happy with the results. Read on for my thoughts.

Nars’s Tinted Moisturizer offers a sheer to light coverage that does an excellent job evening out the complexion, which is exactly one of the things that a good tinted moisturizer is supposed to do. Applied with the fingers, it is easily smoothed into the skin and provides a radiant, fresh finish. During the warmer months, I practically live in tinted moisturizer and the Nars version is one of my favorites! Another great thing about this product is the SPF 30, provided in both a physical spf (titanium dioxide) and a chemical sunscreen (octinoxate). The combination of these ingredients provides broad spectrum protection (both UVA and UVB).

I chose the color “Groenland,” which is on the lighter spectrum of the colors. My complexion is odd at the end of the summer (and really, anytime I’m not wearing sunless tanner). The skin on my face leans cool and my neck is lighter and leans very warm. So picture this---a pink face and a yellow neck. Yeah…not pretty. Anyway, I’ve been experimenting a bit to see if I can even things out so that my face and neck is closer in color. My “normal” Nars color is “Deauville” but in the tinted moisturizer, “Groenland” works for me.

I highly recommend the Nars Tinted Moisturizer if you’re looking for a sheer to light coverage product. This week, I wore it on both of my travel days with good results. For the trip home (which took over 12 hours) I set it with my Make Up For Ever powder and the finish was extremely long wearing.
