CoverGirl Hot (305) is a beautiful blue based red that many count as a dupe for Mac’s Russian Red (another one that I love!). It’s bright, has a great texture and is fairly long lasting. Available at your favorite drugstore for about $5.99.
Lancome’s Color Design Matte Lipstick in Red Haute is another great red that runs fairly neutral. Those of you who love mattes should check this out as the texture is just about perfect! Available at department stores that carry Lancome, this lipstick comes in at $22.
For those of you who like a slightly deeper, more burgundy red, Mac’s New York Apple should fit the bill. This lovely burgundy imparts a slight sheen to your lips and the formula is comfortable to wear. Available wherever Mac is sold for $15.
Revlon’s ColorBurst Balm in Standout is a creamy matte lipcolor that is part of the balm family. It glides on the lips and is very, very pigmented. Revlon’s balms are incredibly moisturizing and lovely and this color is a “standout!” Available at your local drugstore for $6.49.
Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Rouge is an incredibly long lasting lipcolor and gloss all in one tube. Iconic Red (#8) is one of those reds that I reach for often. I’ve worn this lipcolor for as long as six hours with no fading. It is drying to the lips but the clear gel helps alleviate that concern. For me, this is the perfect “Christmas Red!” Available at Sephora for $24.
Rimmel’s Moisture Renew Lipstick in As You Want Victoria is a pinkish red that is just lovely! This formula is so moisturizing and I really like the pigmentation in this lipstick. If you haven’t tried out the Moisture Renew formula, you definitely should! Available in drugstores that sell Rimmel for $6.99.
So what do you think? What are your favorite red lip colors?
