Product Review: Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

As my obsession with foundation grows and grows, it was only a matter of time before I tried Nars Sheer Glow Foundation! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways!!!

Nars Sheer Glow is a lightweight, hydrating foundation that feels luxurious and creamy as it's applied to the skin. It's billed as suited for normal to dry complexions and I found it almost perfect for my dry skin.  As it sets, it imparts a satiny glow to the face. My only complaint is that the shade I was matched to, Deauville, is slightly too yellow for my skintone. The only one who can really tell is me, but still. I tried Mont Blanc (pink undertones) but it is too light. No big deal. It's still gorgeous!

This foundation is expensive ($44) but so versatile. It can be applied very sheerly or built up to almost full coverage. I normally apply with a brush, but it also works wells with fingers or a sponge. Nars also added antioxidants to treat and turmeric extract to improve the skin's radiance. In my experience, Sheer Glow wears well and lasted with just minor fading for eight hours. Sheer Glow is one of my absolute favorite foundations and I recommend it to anyone with normal to dry skin. In the picture below, I'm wearing a  fairly heavy application due to some preparation for another tutorial but it is quite lovely when applied sheerly.

About the only issue I have with Sheer Glow is that it doesn't come with a pump. Nooooo! How can that be??? I know...you'd think that for $44 per bottle, it would include a pump. The good news is you CAN purchase an pump for $6 and that makes it so much easier to dispense. Take a look!

Much better!!!

Nars Sheer Glow is available at Sephora, Nordstrom, and the Nars website.  The pump is available at both Nordstrom and Nars (but not Sephora).

Have you tried Sheer Glow? Was your experience like mine? Please share!!!
