One of my favorite treats is to do a “spa” evening on a quiet weekend. That usually means a hot bubble bath, a good movie streaming on my iPad, a facial mask and a mask for my hair. For the past six months, my favorite hair treatment has been Pantene’s Intensive Restoration Treatment for thick hair.
This conditioner comes in a huge 10.2 ounce tub which costs about $7. It smells great and makes my hair feel silky soft after treatment. The ingredients are:
Water , Stearyl Alcohol , Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone , Behentrimonium Methosulfate , Cetyl Alcohol , Fragrance , Isopropyl Alcohol , Benzyl Alcohol , Disodium EDTA , Panthenol , Panthenyl Ethyl Ether , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone
In English, that translates to:
- Solvents (water, Isopropyl Alcohol )
- Fatty alcohol and thickener (Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol )
- Silicone (imparts gloss and shine, protects hair--Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone )
- Fragrance
- Preservatives (Benzyl Alcohol , Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Disodium EDTA ---can also have other uses)
- Humectant (Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether)
Pretty straight forward ingredients and what you would expect in a conditioner.
This is a nice, thick lovely conditioner and I love it! If you’re looking for a great intensive hair treatment, look no further than your drugstore shelves.
Do you use a deep conditioning product? If so, what’s your favorite product?
